Expert: E-commerce market to rise 26.5% to 2.1 tln rbl in 2019
SOCHI, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s e-commerce market will expand 26.5% in 2019 to more than 2.1 trillion rubles, Artyom Sokolov, head of the Russian Online Retail Association (AKIT), which unites large online stores, told PRIME on the sidelines of the Finopolis forum.
The market soared 60% in 2018 to 1.66 trillion rubles, according to the AKIT, Sberbank, Admirad and Ofd.ru.
In June, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said he expects e-commerce to exceed traditional sales growth.
